A Happy New Year's Wedding:
Countdown to Love

For an unforgettable and romantic wedding, ring in the New Year!  New Year's is the time for new beginnings- a perfect time to start your new life together.  And a wedding on New Year's Eve will surely be the party of the year.

Here are some ideas for your New Year's ceremony:

  • Have your wedding colors be white, black, and silver or gold, or have a black tie event.
  • Decorate with balloons, strings of lights, and snowflakes.
  • Wear a gown that shimmers with sequins.
  • Carry red or red and white roses.
  • Have a sand/hour glass unity ceremony.
  • Have your guests ring in the new year- and your marriage- with wedding bells.
  • Have your officiant time your ceremony so your first kiss as husband and wife occurs at the stroke of midnight.  (Have a large clock, and let your guests do the count-down!)
  • Place balloons in netting  on the ceiling to drop down at the stroke of midnight.
  • Celebrate with pop out streamers, confetti, party hats and noise-makers. And, of course, a champagne toast!
  • Have a fun reception with finger foods and hot appetizers.  Use sparklers on cake slices or dishes of ice-cream.
  • Use special effects on the dance floor such as strobe lights, confetti, or fog.
  • Be sure to sing Auld Lang Syne!
